Unity began in 1889 in Kansas
City, Missouri, and has grown to over 600 centers/churches
and study groups around the world. It's founders,
Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, had personal experiences of God
which demonstrated in the outer world as physical healing,
guidance, and abundant prosperity.
Unity is a link in the great
educational movement inaugurated by Jesus Christ; our
objective is to discern the truth in Christianity and prove
it. The truth that we teach is not new, neither do we
claim special revelations or discovery of new religious
principles. Our purpose is to help and teach mankind to use
and prove the eternal Truth taught by the Master."

Principles
- There is only one Presence and one Power,
God.
- God is present in all people as our divine essence,
our Christ nature.
- Our heart-mind is the connecting link with God -
opened by prayer, meditation, gratitude &
love.
- Health, prosperity,loving relationships & joy are
our divine inheritance - as a result of the law of mind
action "thoughts and feelings held in mind produce after
their kind" - the power of positive
thinking!
- Life is a school and Jesus Christ is our teacher,
elder brother & way-shower.
